The Niacin (Niacinamide) Challenge

The Niacin (Niacinamide) Challenge

Everybody knows that in the last 6 months to a year the “ice bucket” challenge for ALS aka Lou Gehrig’s disease has become popular some might say to the point of to a “fad”.

It was fun to see all the latest “names” that took the challenge. Every news anchor around should have had in their job description oh and you have to take the “ice bucket” challenge to boost ad sales or we are going to have to release you.

If It? sounds like I am complaining I am not just envious.

For I want to issue the Niacin (Niacinamide) challenge to all GERD/Gluten Intolerant/Celiac Disease/GI sufferer’s out there.

I have been giving away books and most of the time Vitamin B3 Niacin in the NIACINAMIDE form for going on the last 2 to 3 years to anyone who would listen and not 10 percent of the people I tell will actually take a vitamin for their health.

It is the dangist thing in this world of organic this, health food that, smoothie up, raw food dieting craze seemingly everyone is doing as much as the “ice bucket” challenge which actually does nothing for their healthy directly but indirectly does raise awareness/money to fight the problem and you ask suggest someone to take a vitamin for Pete’s sake and they turn their nose up at you as if you asked them to go jump in a lake which they do by the way.

A cold lake in January a another very popular challenge called the “Polar Bear” challenge but ask a person to take a vitamin well . . . . let me check with my doctor and I will get back to you on that.
Either I am crazy or the very definition of a vitamin in the first place is a “vital nutrient needed in a minimum amount” without which we become sick.

I should say at this time that Disclaimer(s) first **** This is not medical advice and should not be considered such. Results may vary. Always consult your doctor before making any changes to your medical regimen.

But unless you take huge doses of fat soluble vitamins (A,E,D,K) especially Preformed A found in meat products like Liver and Cod Liver Oil there is minimal danger of over dose.

Most people are typically already low in vitamin D and don’t even know it.

But Niacinamide is not a fat soluble vitamin. It is in a class of water soluble vitamins call B vitamins.
A great example of how B vitamins can help us is Folic Acid during pregnancy.

But being water soluble our bodies are quickly depleted when stress is present. Not any stress either. Day to day stress . . . like life is fine but trauma like . . . . life event(s) . . . . death, pregnancy, care giving, shock, car accident, surgery etc.

Any event lasting more than 3 to 4 months (coincidently the typical length of time our body has storage room for B vitamins mostly in the liver) maims us in some way say like high blood pressure from not enough Folic acid for example.

We are often not aware at the time.

Go back and think when your heartburn/constipation/diarrhea began? Did not a life EVENT happen in your life in the last say 3 to 6 months prior to your digestive problems? Or have you had since you were a toddler. Were you colic or lactose intolerant as a kid. B vitamins deficiencies can be congential (appear from birth ie inherited from the mother) if the mother was low at the time of conception and during the pregnancy.

(This is why a lot of woman have heartburn during pregnancy but have it magically disappear when the baby is born. But the inherited deficiency is passed on to the offspring.)

Then if are so depleted your dependency on Niacin’s becomes the causative GI trigger effectively causing your GI to ground out (quick working) due to stress.

Stress kills! We have all heard that right?

Well it maims us first!

So what about this Niacinamide challenge you mentioned. How does it work!

Take the Niacinamide for 3 to 4 months (typically one big bottle of 300 count Niacinamide). I get mine at the vitamin shoppe but get yours anywhere it is most convenient for you.

Make sure it is the NIACINAMIDE 500mg form of B3 since Niacin 500mg will cause a flushing affect and you will quit before it begins to work in the first couple of days unless you titrate it up in 50 to 100 mg doses.

Then just take the bottle till it is EMPTY.

The speed you take it is up to. More often throughout the day works quicker.

Water soluble vitamins should be taken at least twice (2) a day for maximum affect. Morning and evening work best for most people. With or without food should work the same but with food is easiest to remember.

Then what?

If I am right two new things for you should begin to happen.

Your GOD given burp should return. It will be slow to start then it will be daily.

If you are not going daily already you will begin going most days only once. If you are gluten free then this is already normal for you probably.

Once the burp(s) begin to come you will begin to notice the stool will sink to the bottom of the bowl.
It probably floats on top now even if you are gluten free.

These two factors are a indication that new something new, different, normal is now occurring for you that is/has not be occurring for some time.

Digestion! It is a wonderful thing when it works properly!A healthy child burps at 6 months and a healthy adult should!

The speed at which you try some gluten is up to you now.

But by all means be cautious and conservative. Give yourself 3 to 6 months of steady burping to convenience yourself something new different wonderful is going on for the first time in 6 months, 6 years etc.

Then try some trace gluten like a salad you know had the crouton been removed.

Or notice the next time you told the waiter 6 times you are gluten free and he says what is that and you know it is going to be a long night and notice how peaceful your night and morning are.

18 to 20 hours usually is enough time to upset the apple cart.

If you make it longer than that then maybe gluten is being digested the way nature intended and your mind hasn’t accepted it yet but your body has.

No more upset even when you know you’ve been contaminated or others’ in your GF group were.
But you won’t know unless you take the Niacinamide challenge for yourself.

IF you are already burping this challenge is not for you unless you have had other GI issues like an ulcer for example.

Otherwise what have you got to loose. Vitamins are essential for good health. And if you are low in B vitamins stress is a problem for you.

Get rid of GI stress and take the NIACINAMIDE challenge to see if I am crazy for suggesting a vitamin can help or if your’ crazy for not taking the challenge.

You will only know if you take the challenge!

To good GI health and a toast to the God given burp!

    Hi!

Thanks for this post – i had a bike accident and post injury, i’ve felt i was never the same… also started having gluten problems after that… anyway, its been a long journey through multiple doctors/types of medicine… am sorta stable now, but none of it due to any doc 😦

however, i’ve also ordered the 500mg version and will finish the bottle (100 pills) as you say – and lets see what happens.

      metroik,

I noticed you mentioned the 100 count size. In the Niacinamide Challenge I mentioned one 300 count bottle. While some might

respond (begin burping) in that time most will need a full 3 to 4 month regimen (about one 300 count bottle) of taking Niacinamide 3/day until BURPING is their new normal.

For best results buy a 300 count supply of Niacinamide when you re-order and I feel certain if Pellagra due to stress and the high

energy needed to recovery from your accident/injury is caused by a Niacinamide deficiency a burp will occur in that time.

I say this in other blog posts but the number one mistake people make with Niacinamide is they don’t take it long enough.

see my blog post https://celiacposterboy.wordpress.com/2015/12/04/whos-afraid-of-a-b-vitamin/ where I discuss this in more detail.

Let us know when you are bupring so others will know it can help them too!

And tell others when the “Natural Order of Things’ has been restored and BURPING is normal for you.

      Praise be to God!
